Chapter 19 – Shropshire beauty

The spot where we’d moored overlooked Top Flash and the River Weaver.

Very appropriate, don't you think?

The Shroppie is clearly a superior canal.

...far busier than any we'd been on that year

We spent some time travelling with NB Serenity

At Barbridge Junction, we turned left, passed the start of the Llangollen Canal,

...and went on to Nantwich

And the sunset over the village was phenomenal!

No Photoshop used!
The cruise from there on to Audlem was beautiful.

...it claims to be a day's entertainment

Arriving at Audlem...

...the really tricksy sluices

...lunch at The Shroppie Fly

...the fascinating Audlem Mill Canal Shop

...all went well. Until Lock 4.
