Chapter 12 – Liverpool, here we come! - 2


Sunken, rotting boats in the canal.


We moored for the night in another perfect spot, just above Bridge 27.



I loved Atherstone Locks.




We stopped half-way down for lunch.

...another very attractive location, seemingly miles from anywhere



Poppies crowded the fields...


Wispy clouds smeared the sky.


Glascote Locks




We came to Fazeley Junction, the meeting of the Coventry and
the Birmingham & Fazeley Canals.



...moored amongst very attractive country homes in the village of Hopwas


...a pleasant, wooded spot, with several other boats


Nearby, The Swan was open


...an ancient lake
